BadgerBoomers.com aims to inform and engage boomers age 45 or better by compiling news stories specific to your interests and concerns — keeping the focus Wisconsin-based as much as possible.
This site was created by fellow boomer Terry Burrington, founder and CEO of Financial Marketing Corporation, a senior marketing consulting firm based in Palmyra, Wis.
For more than 30 years, Terry has dedicated himself to helping people protect and provide for themselves and their estates by sharing educational and informational materials and seminars.
The educational and promotional materials and activities Terry has developed have been used by financial institutions, health care facilities, assisted living facilities, investment centers and insurance agencies. He has shared his message at staff meetings, strategic planning sessions, shareholder meetings and community events.
Because of his expertise and experience, he has been invited to serve on the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions’ Advisory Council on Financial Education, the Governor’s Task Force on Financial Competitiveness and the Wisconsin Bankers Association’s Marketing Advisory Board.
Before his nearly 30-year career in banking and marketing, Terry served with the United States Coast Guard Cutters Sundew and Mackinaw on the Great Lakes. When not performing search and rescue missions and serving aids to navigation, both cutters made public relations appearances throughout the summer months to ports from Chicago, Illinois to Buffalo, New York. Terry was responsible for arranging open house events for these promotional visits and served as the media contact in each city visited. One of his most memorable assignments was at the New York World’s Fair in 1965. During that time, he also attended and graduated from the United States Navy journalism school.
Terry welcomes your feedback, story ideas and contributions at burrington “at” charter.net.
